GENERAL STORE
Live at Bourbon Store Café. The 15th of March 2008.

I didn't have the opportunity to see General Store playing live in concert for some years, since the time where the General came in power trio and played in the Rochefort's Poudrière (place well known to have a very bad sound) and an other show in an american restaurant in La Rochelle. This last show allowed us to have a very pleasant evening, but this restaurant closed because of planning to much the pals. (Ah, could we get a real rock'n roll hall in La Rochelle: it would be fantastic, but here, we lived in the marvellous world of Francofolies & Star' Ac!)

So, I rejoined this Saturday, the 15th of March this old medieval town of Sainte-Foy la Grande (33) to attend to the General Store's, quatuor version, concert. As a matter of fact, Bob Franks and his Leslie speaker's contribution allowed the band to take place amongst the very best french bands with its last album "Vision of Diversity" brought out in 2007.

The Bourbon Store Café filled in quietly (wholly 60/70 persons) and about 22 h 45, General Store comes on stage. From the first notes of " Who Kills the King ?", Will Lester wins his bet, the audience knows the band because it comes regularly here to play, and the band is in a conquest land. The concert proceeds and the potential hit "California" took out the last record allows to establish all the progress the band accomplished during nearly six years.

The band doesn't forget where it comes from and entertains us well with a splendid and anthologic "Memory of Elisabeth Reed". Nothing more to say than seeing General Store live assure you to have a good time. Hey men,
I hope to see you again in concert as soon as possible.
