THE
    OUTLAWS
30 Th Anniversary Reunion ( Report Live in
    Wilmington 21 MAY 2005 )

As we knew
it for some months, now it is official and it is a real good news for Southern
Rock, that The Outlaws, this famous seventies band, is born again. It is hard
to believe that Hughie Thomasson, Henry Paul, David Dix, Monte Yoho are again
together in the same band, and have been joined today by the gifted Chris
Anderson (Guitar), Dave Robbins (keyboards), and Randy Threet (bass guitar).
It is a real dream, isnt it ? The band has started its 30th Anniversary
Tour at the beginning of May, and as we heard about it, it seems that the
Outlaws are always still alive and well !
Wed have enjoyed presenting you some pictures of this reunion tour,
but it seems that there are very few information for the moment, and maybe
it is because of the release of a new live album or dvd soon
(we can wait !!) Thanks to a fan for his help, we could listen to a bootleg
recording, so we got the opportunity to imagine how are the Outlaws today.
And we have not been disappointed ! The most surprising is maybe the fact
that we feel like we are back in time at the end of the seventies. We could
already imagine that when we looked at the set-list that is really settled
in the past, but the most impressive is to listen to the way the Outlaws play
such old songs today. The interpretation is the same, choruses are the same,
Hughie (after eight years with Skynyrd) and Henry (with Blackhawk) always
sing in the same wonderful way. The way they play that old songs is very close
to the original versions, as we can listen to those famous songs such as Waterhole,
There Goes Another Love Song, and obviously the great Green Grass and High
Tides and its famous guitar finish that every Outlaws fan know. Today the
band is playing more shows on tour, and we hope they soon give us a great
souvenir of these concerts, because Im afraid we wont seen them
on stage in Europe soon !
