It’s a great pleasure to see again the famous Lynyrd Skynyrd honkette after a long silence. It’s a come back that every fan will sure enjoy !
We saw them some years ago, with the other honkette Leslie Hawkins, in Artimus Pyle and Ed King Saturday Night Special Band, and she comes back today with a very personal album that proves this lady ‘s determination is still alive and well !
So, obviously we don’t get heavy Skynyrd Southern Rock there. Jojo chose themes and atmospheres she enjoys (like religion), on a cool but full of emotion music, a little bit like some gospel songs. Some may find that it looks like Carol Chase ‘s ‘Blue Highway’. However I enjoyed that album that I listened with full of respect for this respectable lady !
