Can we speak about a record issued anonymously in 1999, and that is very hard to find now. I saw it on eBay at 200€, so you have to be rich to buy it ! But this album deserves it because it is wonderful, in a very moving Southern bluesy Rock, with ten perfect songs. First is "Do You Feel At All" a great boogie song, looks like Danny Joe Brown's Molly Hatchet ; then a quieter moment with "I Take", and a Thunderhead cover "Lay It On The Line". Thunderhead is a good but forgotten band with Johnny Winter musicians who gave us in 1975 a wonderful album with the Little Feat cover "Juliette" (Thunderhead ABC 919 US 1975).
Back to J J MUGGLER album with "The Wolf" that looks like Robin Trower's "Bridge Of Sighs", then some Swamp Rock with "Voodoo Woman" where we can hear Clarence Gatemouth violin, and Allman Brothers' "Dreams" played in a Molly Hatchet style at the beginning and in the Allman style at the end. J J and his band can revere their main influences in only one song. That is the musical colour of this Band from Louisiana, Blues and Southern Rock with great and warm deep solos. Just note the presence of Jay B Elston, famous in the Southern Music world and now in the J J MUGLER Band. And thank you to our boss who could find this precious record after so many years of researches.
