LEANNE BINDER AND THE STEEL CITY BLUES BAND
This first album, from Leanne Binder, recorded in Phoenix,AZ in 1998, shows us her ability in making good rock'n roll, hard-blues or rock-FM from the eighties. She 's got such a great voice, which reminds me of Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson (from Heart), whom Leanne is a huge fan (see the Leanne's interview).
Apart from the rock'n roll aspect of her music, Leanne shows all her sensibility with great songs such as "Jim's song" (a beautiful ballade with a great work on vocals), "Come morning" (a bluesy song reminding me Alannah Miles), and the superb, the great killer song " Never wanna lose you".

BINDER
This second album from Leanne Binder shows different aspects of her music, more blues-rick oriented, with southern feelings and the guitar arrangements have been really nicely worked (for example, twin guitar harmonies on "In your arms" et "Rock'n Roll Soul").
The vocal references are still still, but I'll also add Dale Krantz-Rossington, especially on the softer songs ("Take my heart", for example).
Really great work, great songs ("Carry me back", "In your arms", "Rock'n roll soul" and his riff close to Molly Hatchet's, the ballade "Only a heartbeat away", "The legend of Ann Beau" and its southern feel).
Let's notice a new version of "Never wanna leave you" with a voice full of sensibility, reworked backing vocals (the addition of a bass tone voice was a great idea), and the guitars (the licks may be similar to the first version, but the sound and the way they're played add a lot to the song).
